Petra Lay Awake All Night
and left before the cock crowed
quiet glow of sun quiet
path before her threshold behind her
for the last time closing
opening never again will
greet present give grieve
dress of cotton drape of apron
worn well wanted
in the kitchen say bed
stay silent silent stay
lit unlit she furled
dissolved denied
three times
