her face, her breasts, her belly,
her thighs lifting.

On the window sill, a Neptune
action figure; the gunshy god
holds his trident in a stance
as though to set out
for the voluptuous woman
undulating under a pink
and orange sky.

No variations on his resolution
to face east, to leave the sea
for the gorgeous goddess
made of earth.
