The Garden She Grew

The garden became something they each enjoyed in their own way. Sheila planned and supervised, keeping meticulous records in a leather-bound ledger. Even Lynn admitted that their garden's impressive success—they gave away half their produce to neighbors, canning, freezing, and drying the rest—was largely due to Sheila's care.
