Something They Taught You in High School

Inside the basement, you find the light your father once installed on his boat. This baby will blaze on your roof like a little sun. You haul it up to the ladder, imagining poor Jeff shielding his eyes when he gets up at night to use the bathroom. Ho ho ho! Santa would appreciate a bright landing signal, wouldn't he? Little do you know that a rat has incidentally nibbled the cord and your thumb happens to contact the exposed hot wire.
