Haiku Sequence for Nuclear War

Fight for clear water
Ignore growing poverty
The rich sit and smile
Nuclear war now?
Selfishness ever present
Pretend to be fine
Control the masses
Enjoy domination with
the cost of living
Capitalist fear
Struggle to find life's purpose
Is anyone there?
Secure your spot now
before the rocket takes off
Peanut crunching crowd
Left behind for good
Don't bother to regard sky
The shock wave will blind
Winter ensues quick
Mortality encroaching
Lock the beggars out
Hang your clothes to dry
Drenched in sweat no match could light
Pray for one more day
