blue and blue and blue #35
as a young man
i preferred flowers
& i was wrongto think the weed
of any moment
was worthlessto my pursuits
& now, as a young-
ish man, i spendmost of my time
holding up
thieving roots& convincing
the faceless sea
that they're beautiful
