Some people
attain satisfaction of life
In insecurity by marrying a murderer.
Others do it by living in fear
Of their own nervous hands
Through the
long life of a suicide.
As for dogs, little black Carmen
Paws the
carpet, her tail whipping.
She wants to be caught up by me
Like a
piglet by a muscular python,
And bares her neck, if only to know
Her
throat is safe, she won't be killed
Today. She has no idea
She has set
her camp with us
Among the tents of prosperity,
And so the fear of
death
Is always upon her.
