Nov/Dec 1999 Music Review

Cd's I'd Keep

If I Had to Choose
Tom Dooley

Note: As a general rule, in creating this list I avoided soundtracks (Pulp Fiction), greatest hits compilations (Jimi Hendrix's Ultimate Experience, James Brown's 20 Greatest Hits, etc.), and overly obvious choices (Pink Floyd's The Wall or anything by the Beatles or Rolling Stones). Also, as is the case with The Cowboy Junkies, Lyle Lovett, and Sarah McLachlan, most of the artists on this list have other albums that should also be here, but I forced myself to pick a favorite. Here then are cd's that to me rate a groovy factor of five and are just too good to consider letting go.

Also Note: If you click on a link for a particular album, it'll take you to the issue where that album was reviewed. If you're reading the current issue, you'll have to navigate the magazine to get back to it.
