My Daughter Questions

by Ivone Alexandre

My Daughter Questions

I.

Can I brew fire
with a branch

from the sink? What?
Am I a cupboard

without hands,
the smell of freshly

chopped... hair?

grass?

II.

A wrinkle hugs itself, right?
Right.

Grandma can't see
me from underground, right?
Well, that depends.

III.

Were I snow
globe music,

would you shake
me upside down?
