Grass and Shadows

Grass and Shadows

grass on shoes
symmetry in body-shadows
upon soil hungry for movement
black outlines
to epitomized tenancy

from dark silhouettes
a spiritual dance
tree branches in fluid motion
form a totem
without name or precept

breath/ mood/ sound
meaningless
to ground seeking encounters
the grunt of wheels on tarmac
mower blades slashing the sun

unsealed speech stirs open spaces
crows caw to catch the air
but it's the grass on shoes
shadows contracting ground
that nails the soul
